Production of iron ore pellets at Kachkanarskij Ore-Mining and Processing Enterprise was considered. These fluxed titanomagnetite pellets. The oxidizing firing of the pellets is performed at temperatures of 1150-1300°C. Basicity of the pellets equal to ratio of CaO to SiO2 is 1.25. In order to improve strength of the pellets, various conditions of firing of them were investigated. Results of the investigations have shown that strength of the pellets can be improved by means selection of efficient conditions of firing. In this case, partial dissociation of hematite should be provided. Such pellets weretested in blast furnaces. Reliable operation of the furnaces wasnoted.
