Thermal properties of solid and liquid D16ch and V95pch aluminum alloys are investigated. The values of enthalpy are measured and calculated temperature dependence of molar enthalpy over the temperature range from 673 to 1073 K is presented. Suitable method for determining the temperatures of solidus and liquidus as well as the latent heat of melting is suggested. The temperature dependence of additional entropy, related to formation of vacancies, is calculated. It is found that the values of heat capacity of the alloys are close to heat capacity of pure Al.
