The effect of alloying on age hardening, softening at elevated annealing temperatures, and strengthening upon repeated aging was studied using quenched 20Kh2N4MFSYu-type steel. The main processes occurring upon tempering at 20-670°C were traced by studying changes in electrical resistivity, hardness, and microstructure.
