The Editors of Semigroup Forum regret to announce that Boris Schein, a member of the Editorial Board, passed away on October 4th, 2023. Boris was one of the creators of Semigroup Forum in 1970 and the only person who has been constantly on the editorial board of the journal since that time. This great service, as well as his personal contributions to algebra, will always be remembered with thanks and affection by the semigroup community. We express our deepest condolences to Boris’s family and colleagues.
