An influence of slab machine parameters and continuous casting rate on skin deformation is analyzed. An elastic multiple-support beam of variable section under action of load, changing by linear law, is considered as a slab model. It is found that the pouring rate rise leads to decreasing in skin thickness, to ingot skin temperature increase and to material elasticity modulus lowering. These factors induce the raised deformations in the ingot skin.
