An electric drive (ED), based on the thyristor voltage converter-induction motor system, has been theoretically and experimentally investigated. The electric drive of this type may be recommended as an actuator for transport manipulators, cranes, for galvanic lines and etc. The structural scheme of a microprocessor controller has been given. It includes a microprocessor block, a communication block, high-voltage and power blocks. The controller offered has been successfully tested under laboratory and plant conditions.
