The chapter is devoted to an important period in the history of the Constantinople group of the People's Freedom Party associated with its reaction to the note “What to do after the Crimean catastrophe?” prepared in Paris under the leadership of P.N. Milyukov. The article is based on the protocols of the Constantinople group of cadets for January - early February 1921. The author proves that by supporting the White Army, the Russian liberals who ended up in Turkey advocated public control over it, which did not meet with the support of the military command.
