Core wires of Fe-Cr-Al type alloying for arc spraying of heat-resistant coating were developed. Properties of coating, such as heat resistance, adhesion and porosity, were tested. Influence of titanium and silicium additives on the heat-resistance of coatings was studied by means of optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray analysis. Heat resistance of the coatings is of the same level as in case of austenitic steels and of the ten-fold higher as compared with ferritic steels which are widely used as materials of boilers.
