The aim of presented work is to discuss several critical CFD-modeling parameters that affect the flow behavior, and how these can be controlled during the verification stage of compressor design process. This paper consists of two parts: in the first part modeling of local flow features is discussed and in the second part effects on overall performance are shown. Fiere, in the first part a combination of parameters is suggested in order to improve matching with certain experimental data published in the open source. Deviation from the model with default settings is also shown and explained. There is no doubt, that certain values of parameters discussed are not universal, therefore the main aim of the paper is to raise up and expand the process of fine tuning of the computational model in turbomachinery.
