Dynamic light scattering (DLS) was applied to the study of de-aggregated non-aqueous suspensions of Y2O3-stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) nanopowders. Spherical nanoparticles having the mean diameter 11 nm. Nanopowders were prepared by the laser evaporation and condensation. Ultrasonic processing and centrifuging receives two types of suspensions with the mean average size of aggregates of 108 nm and 66 nm. Combination of ultrasonic and the centrifuging processing of suspensions provides narrow YSZ particle size distributions. Thin coatings were received by a method electrophoretic deposition (EPD) from two types of suspensions with the different average size of aggregates. It was shown that difference in structure and morphology is not observed. It was established that the mechanism of electrochemical coagulation is realized during EPD process from two types of suspensions with the different average size of aggregates.
