The problem of confrontation between professional journalism and blogosphere is being analyzed in this article as well as the main features of professional activities of amateurs bloggers and reporters. A special attention is given to the opinions of Russian and foreign bloggers. The author concludes that blogosphere has become an integral part of the mass communication processes today and perhaps it will find its niche in the modern media system. At the same time the audience will learn to make the right choice between different sources of information, no matter what it is: traditional media or somebody’s livejournal.
