The possibilities of using polynuclear aromatic amines as N-nucleophiles in the reaction of ipso-substitution of С5-cyanogroup of 1,2,4-triazines have been studied. The influence of the structure of the aromatic amine on the result of the reaction has been shown. In case of using 3-aminobiphenyls the corresponding 5-amino-N(biphenyl-3-yl)-1,2,4-triaizines have been obtained with yields up to 88%.
