FIELD: chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing actinium-228 radionuclide generator. Solid extractant is used as actinium-228 sorbent which contains mono-2-ethylhexyl ether of 2-ethylhexylphosphonic acid as an active component, and an inorganic acid solution with pH of 0.8–1.2 is used as the eluent. At the preparatory stage, thorium is separated from the thorium by complexing it with EDTA and selective sorption from the obtained solution of radium and actinium on a sorbent containing MnO2. Further holding of the sorbent containing MnO2 saturated with actinium and radium, their elution with hydrochloric acid, evaporation enables to obtain a productive solution which can be used for sorption of actinium-228. EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a cleaner radionuclide actinium-228 generator with good reproducibility while increasing the degree of actinium extraction and reducing the cost of implementing the method.
