The article analyses the image of Czechoslovakia, which was formed by the Soviet soldiers and officers during the Operation «Danube» in Czechoslovakia in 1968, on the basis of memories and interview with them. The other suggest content analysis of the texts, paying attention to their specific features for the reconstruction of the image of the counterpart. In the article, impressions from the military service in Czechoslovakia, surrounding, everyday life, national relations are considered.
