The purpose of the study is to identify the features of parliamentary elections in Russia and the Middle Urals during the pandemic of 2021. The author emphasizes the importance of the election's procedure as an important element of the democratic mechanism. The electoral processes and their dynamics in comparison with the previous elections are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the specifics of election campaigns of political parties and candidates in the Middle Urals.
