The article describes the literary page of the Sverdlovsk newspaper “For change!” and in particular to the section devoted to the work of aspiring writers (1925-1929). These sections were headed by the leaders and active participants of the literary group “For change!”: V. Makarov, V. Tarbeyev, C. Vasiliyev and others. Critical articles and suggestions, published in the newspaper allow us to fi nd out the group identities (we are talking about multiple identities) of the young Ural writers and analyse the language of their self-description. The literary page “For change!” captures the main points of emergence, self-determination, changes in the political course and communications of the literary group “For change!” in 1926-1927 with a more extensive and clearly controlled Association of proletarian writers.
