The article examines the intertextual connections of two works created on an autobiographical basis: the novel by E. Hemingway "The Holiday that is always with you" and the story by E. Dombrovskaya "The Holiday that ...", from the point of view of the influence of the artistic autobiography of a major author on the life and fate of an entire generation. The problem of blind imitation of the youth of the 60s in the external form of the author's perception of life, which is either parodic or tragic, is also considered.
