This article analyses the comparison of the conceptospheres of Louisa May Alcott's 1868 novel ‘Little Women’ and the 2019 film directed by Greta Gerwig ‘Little Women’. The study identified the content of the conceptosphere of the book and its film adaptation, distributed the existing representations into groups, with the subsequent comparative analysis of nominative fields. The similarities and differences between the conceptospheres, which are conditioned by the perception of the author of the book and the director of the film and the change of the concept content over time, are noted. In addition, the article summarizes the characteristics of a woman presented in both texts under study. The study considers the main aspects that characterize the image of woman in the context of the XIX century.
