FIELD: turning tools. SUBSTANCE: method relates to the final stage of processing – forming a boundary between cylindrical or conical surfaces of a workpiece and its end surface. The method includes roughing, semi-finishing and finishing processing, which are performed simultaneously with one tool and with one tool feed, which is selected from the range of 0.3-0.8 mm/rev, with a cutting depth of roughing processing of 2-3 times more than the feed, and of semi-finishing - 2-3 times less than the feed, and finishing processing is carried out with a cutting depth not less than a residual height of irregularities on the processed surface after semi-finishing processing. The tool contains three cutters, respectively, for roughing, semi-finishing and finishing processing, made in a general body of the tool, with the front angle, the angle of inclination of a main cutting blade equal to zero, and the main angle in the plan of 90° for all three cutters, the auxiliary angle in the plan of 3-5° for roughing and semi-finishing processing cutters, and for a finishing processing cutter - of zero degrees, with the location of vertices of semi-finishing and finishing processing cutters at the same distance from the axis of the workpiece, and vertices of the roughing processing cutter at the distance of 0.1-0.2 mm further from the axis of the workpiece relatively to vertices of semi-finishing and finishing processing cutters.
