The article examines the influence of the thickness of the welded metal and heat input of the process on the dimensions of the heat reflection zone from the edge distance. Based on the results of mathematical modeling of the heat transfer process, we determined the regression equations of the correspondence between the size of the heat reflection zone and the studied parameters. We specified the correspondence in terms of adjustment of the heat input in the reflection zone to ensure the constant quality of the welded joint.
