An increase in the operational performances of rolling-cutter drill bits is one of the decisive factors in reducing well construction costs and a significant increase in drilling performances in general. The efficiency increase of rocks destruction can be achieved by choosing the optimal radius of the working edge rounding of the hard-alloy teeth, thus ensuring an increase in the durability of a drill bit cutting structures The research resulted in development of an analytical model and design of a scheme that allows obtaining reliable information about the parameters and operating conditions of individual drill bits cutting structures and their teeth rows at the well bottom as well as analytical expressions were obtained that connect the parameters of the drill bit cutting structures and the well bottom; scientifically substantiated new geometric characteristics, destructing teeth tops, providing effective destruction of a specific type of rock. Based on the results of these studies, teeth with optimized geometry of the striking head, increased strength and efficiency have been developed, manufactured and tested. The shape of the proposed model of the tooth can be described as a two-cone with an offset axis of a tooth top.
