The article studies the ways and means of regional identity formation in the creative work of P. P. Bazhov and A. P. Bondin. The author demonstrates that the self-determination of the two Ural prose-writers was conditioned by the interiorization of values which meant introduction to history, culture, and the Region’s nature. As the regional factor was brought forward, the writers’ creative personalities took shape.
