The article is based on the results of research of the progress of entry into the WTO and the impact on macroeconomic indicators in such countries as China, Eastern European states: the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Poland, the states — the former republics of the USSR: Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova. The article analyses the conditions of countries entry. The paper presents the analysis of conditions on which Russia joined the WTO, with the considered countries of Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and China; an attempt to predict the impact of the WTO on the macroeconomic indicators of the Russian Federation was undertaken.
