The paper deals with starting processes in the thyristor voltage converter - induction motor system with current limiting startup mode. Influence of motor heating and network capacity restrictions on starting process is discussed. Based on the analysis of these restrictions the feasible startup parameters region is selected. The impact of converter on the harmonic composition of network voltage is touched.
