This work was aimed at the development and validation of a new method for the quantitative determination of active component in the substance of phenyl salicylate by gas-liquid chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC/FID). The experiments were performed on an HP-5 quartz capillary column with a chemically grafted phase of 5% diphenyl - 95% dimethyl polysiloxane (Agilent Technologies) under selected chromatographic separation conditions. The parameters of suitability of the proposed chromatographic system have been determined. The content of phenyl salicylate in the substance was determined by the method of internal standard. Validation of the method was carried out according to the characteristics of specificity, linearity, precision, and stability (robustness) and compliance with the basic eligibility criteria was established.
