The purpose of the study is to conduct a historiographical review of scientific works of domestic authors within the framework of the topic of glamping tourism, with a focus on the most cited works.
Methods: as part of the work, the authors reviewed the most cited publications on the topic of glamping, from those posted on the eLIBRARY.RU portal (the citation of which is more than 5 times), using general scientific (analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, comparison and contrast) and special research methods (general statistical analysis and final analytical review).
Results: the analysis made it possible to summarize the reviewed scientific literature and identify the main problem and thematic groups that are covered by researchers in the articles studied. This aspect makes it possible to conclude that the prevailing direction in domestic research today is the study of theoretical foundations, in particular, consideration of the conceptual apparatus, classification and characteristics, as well as issues of the peculiarities of the functioning of glampings in Russia. The least discussed topic in scientific works seems to be issues related to the legal regulation of glamping activities. At the same time, the authors identified “gaps” and promising areas for further research within the framework of scientific and research activities, especially the consideration of glamping in a practical or business nature.
