The article discusses the threat of digital dementia in preschoolers in the context of global digitalization of education. It is substantiated that digital technologies not only add variety to the educational process of children, but also affect the fragile psyche of a preschooler. The author believes that the new term "digital dementia" combines the signs of the negative impact of gadgets. Content analysis of messages from parents on thematic forums and chats of parents made it possible to determine the attitudes of parents on the topic of using gadgets by preschoolers. As a result of the study, it was found that parents do not associate the negative consequences of using gadgets with the digitalization of preschool education.
