The article studies the mechanisms of creation and spread of Soviet folklore (pseudo-folklore), the phenomenon of Soviet theatricalized weddings, specimens of pseudo-folklore, which served to integrate the Soviet ideology into public culture. Additionally, the article substantiates the reasons underlying the popularity of theatricalized weddings with a vast number of USSR residents.
