On the basis of the botanical garden of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the Ural Federal University in 2021, a contemplative moss garden of the Yekaterinburg branch of the Russia-Japan Society was laid. A composition was created from white small stones (marble chips) and freely located zones of several types of mosses with stones immersed in them (such as karesansui). Attention is paid to the combination of botanical possibilities, in the form of moss varieties, climatic and territorial conditions, and aesthetic and cultural principles applied to the creation of a garden.
