A method for silica determination (from 0.5 to 35 wt.%) in manganese, chromium, titanium magnetite and iron-and-vanadium ore materials containing Fe, Mn, Cr 2O 3 and V up to 65, 45, 60 and 1 wt.%, respectively, by atomic emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma (ICP-AES) using scandium as an internal standard is presented. The efficiency of using internal standardization for correction of the instrumental drift is justified using thermodynamic modeling (TERRA software package). The method was tested on standard samples of ore materials.
