The author explored the problem of creating favorable conditions and incentives for investment in renewable energy in Russia. The goal of the activity is to create a system of conditions and opportunities that will attract external and internal investors to invest the necessary resources. One of the most developed areas is hydropower. The main problem is that only 20% of the country's total energy output comes from hydropower. Electric power generation based on other renewable energy sources in Russia currently provides less than 1% of total electricity production. The development of renewable energy projects in Russia occurs with varying degrees of intensity. The most actively implemented projects are those based on photovoltaic conversion of solar energy. Basically, such projects are implemented in the southern regions of Russia.
