The article deals with the evolution of the interpretation of authorities-workers’ relations in the context of Civil War in western historiography. The author analyzes perspective and controversial ideas concerning social and political processes in the Eastern Front territory of the Civil War, including relations between Bolshevik/ anti-Bolshevik regimes and workers.
