The article conducted a study of the essence of man in the modern world through an attempt to unite the philosophical views of Martin Heidegger and Peter Sloterdijk. Both philosophers consider human existence in the context of the technological era, but from different points of view. Heidegger emphasizes the significance of attitude to being and finds humanism in an ontological sense. Sloterdijk represents modern society as a human zoo, where individuality is suppressed by superficial existence. The intersection of their ideas is analyzed, general topics are revealed, such as the influence of technology and loss of meaning, and the individual characteristics of their philosophical approaches are discussed. The relevance of the article and ideas of philosophers is based on the their development of important problems such as: alienation and loss of connection with the essence (the times when Heidegger put forward his ideas could be considered as the beginning of the process of deepening the alienation between man and nature, as well as his own essence); technological dependence (technology distribution and digitalization raised questions about the influence of technology on human nature); Technological dehumanization (the concept of the “Human Zoo” describes modern society as a place where technology and media alienate a person from his essence, turning him into a passive observer and consumer). It is concluded that Heidegger and Sloterdijk ideas provide a valuable context for the analysis of modern challenges and problems. They remind us of the need to analyze the meaning of human life in the conditions of a rapidly changing world and of the struggle to preserve the values that make us a humane part of nature.
