The article consistently describes the meaning and the value of export in the frames of the FTA (Foreign Trade Activities) at the time of economical globalization. It gives a detailed analysis of the content and structure of export of the Sverdlovsk region, and justifies the specifics of old industrial region's export polices. It defines ways for the growth of value and the improvement of structure of the region's export, as well as the policy of state export support and its evolution during the entry of the Russian Federation into the WTO (World Trade Organization).
