The Internet enters everywhere today, the mass media is no exception. Internet has had an impact even on the media, designed for prisoners. In Russia such media is conservative meanwhile, but in some countries they use the possibilities of the Internet, forums, blogs as an instrument for creating interactive relationship with the audience. In this article is analyzed media for prisoners of the US and UK, in which used new information technologies. Their impact on the process of social rehabilitation of convicts is assessed. Whether a similar experience to be applicable in domestic practice are considered in this article. This topic is of current importance because the level of criminalization and recidivism in Russia is very high, and the media is one of the subjects of the social rehabilitation of convicts, they have the resources to influence on a personality.
