The article considers the town-planning characteristics of the districts of Yekaterinburg, which affect the placement of parking lots for permanent and temporary storage. Some of the main factors are: the remoteness of the area from the city center, the development of the route and transport network, the provision of the area with places of application of labor, the availability of high-speed public transport, the coefficient of efficiency of movement by personal and public transport. The principles by which it is necessary to calculate parking spaces depending on the characteristic features of each area are determined. The method of differentiated calculation of parking spaces in the districts of the city of Yekaterinburg, depending on the transport and planning characteristics, is given.
