The technology of plasma afterburning for products of thermal waste processing is studied. The upgraded design of the plasma torch for utilization of nitrogen-containing gas emissions (ammonia and nitrogen oxides) is considered. The known methods of neutralization for this type of waste are analyzed and temperature approximations of their decomposition time and efficiency in the temperature range of plasma heating are found. Gas-dynamic and thermo-physical parameters of the air-plasma flow in the process of thermal heating of nitrogen-containing gases by a plasma jet are determined. An increase in the efficiency of neutralization when heated in a rotating gas flow in the mixing chamber of the plasma torch is shown. The efficiency of the considered plasma neutralization technology is proved. The directions of further research and the applicability of the results are considered.
