This article explores lexical units representing the evaluation of phenomena (processes, events) according to their length. The lexical oppositions based on the juxtaposition of the "долго/недолго" ("long/short") extremes are the main focus of the study. The material of the research is comprised of ideographic dictionaries, including "The Universal Thesaurus of the Russian Language" (a project led by Professor L.G. Babenko).
