The peculiarities of the functioning of the ideologue “brotherly people” in the journalistic discourse of the Ukrainian and Georgian South Ossetian confl icts are presented with the help of numerous examples of publications of the Russian media. The method of critical discourse analysis is used. It shows the uniqueness of the functioning of this ideologue in the texts of the Russian media on confl ict issues and personal blogs of journalists is marked out. The differences in the use of ideologue in the two armed confl icts resulting from historical, ethno religious and political factors have been identifi ed and described.
