A method for identifying the dynamic equivalent of a power system on the basis of synchronized vector measurements is described. It is proposed to use the obtained equivalent for monitoring lowfrequency oscillations in the power system. The possibility of identifying dangerous cut sets and «critical» generators for the current mode of operation is also described.
