The analysis of world experience shows that the economic state of a state is characterized, first of all, by the level and quality of life of citizens, which are the most important indicators of economic transformations carried out by the state as part of the implementation of new national projects. The problem of improving the quality of life of the population in Russia is the most important strategic task for the development of society at the present stage, which has determined the relevance of the research topic. The article presents the main components of the quality of life of the population of large cities of Russia, analyzed the data of the rating of the city ofYekaterinburg on the convenience and comfort of living. The main provisions and indicators of the federal program "Formation of a comfortable urban environment", implemented in the framework of the national project "Housing and the urban environment." The implementation of the “System City” concept in Russia and its effectiveness in managing large cities in the context of urbanization and globalization are presented. The main provisions and conditions for the implementation of the concept of "Smart City" in the city of Yekaterinburg are considered. It was concluded that the implementation of the “System City” project will satisfy the demand of residents ofYekaterinburg for complex services in the field of commercial and residential real estate, at the junction of variousstages of construction from concept to operation.
