The article analyzes semantics of lexical units representing knowledge by focusing on the relations of identity and contrast and brings to light the significant cognitive characteristics in the structure of the corresponding concept. The analysis uses the lexical data that were collected as a part of the project led by Prof. L.G. Babenko and aimed at creating an ideographic dictionary of synonymic and antonymic sets.
