The object of research are machine-construction enterprises and their associations. The research is focused at problems of increasing the potential of a machine-construction enterprise from the standpoint of the integrity concept. The subject of research is the study of the diversity of industrial enterprises and their associations. The aim of the research is to establish the system of assessing the integrity of a machine-construction enterprise. The study employs the methods of systematization, classification, srtructural modelling and multi-parameter evaluation. The article presents the characteristics and the author’s assessment of stages in the establishment of modern domestic economic system, as exemplified by reforming the industrial complex of the country. The classification of forms of industrial enterprises has been given, viewed as a result of their restructuring in the process of privatization and further reform. It describes the two basic models of creating the associations of machine-construction enterprises, and presents their essential target factors. The study reveals the essence of polystructural approach to machine-construction enterprise management and describes its key structures. Using concrete examples, the quantitative indicators of assessing the integrity of functional and resource structures of a machine-construction enterprise have been proposed and tested, which are part of the indicator system of assessing its structural potential. The scope of using the results includes machine-construction enterprises of various production types, capacity, organizational and legal form, as well as various types of their associations. The conclusions are formulated as follows: the structural, functional and resource integrity management of a machine construction enterprise makes it possible to raise its competitiveness in the product market and the efficiency of asset utilization
