This article discusses the problem of patriotic education of the modern young generation of Russia. Today, the concept of "patriotism" takes on a special meaning in Russian society. In connection with patriotic education, there is a need for an ideology at the state level that would define clear goals that young people should strive for. As an example of patriotic education, the unique, but nevertheless traditional production of "Victory Waltz", which is held annually on May 9 at the UMMC Technical University, is taken.
