The article analyzes the norms of the federal law reflecting the new concept of the labor protection system which emphasizes the prevention of occupational risks and self-examination of employers. The author notes the positive aspects of the decisions made; at the same time, some aspects of the legal regulation of labor protection relations are insufficiently developed and require a comprehensive approach by specialists of industry sciences. The author emphasizes the need for additional measures to strengthen the motivation of employers to improve working conditions.
