This article analyzes the special phenomenon of metamorphosis of werewolves in the novel "The Sacred Book of the Werewolf. Separately we examine the internal transformations in the process of metamorphosis A Huli (from animal to human) and Alexander (from wolf to dog). It is concluded that Pelevin's use of symbolism, intentionally uniting the essence of the protagonist with the metamorphosis of the werewolf, increases interest in both the novel and the reader.
