The radial forging process for leading pipe ends is widely used in production of cold-drawn pipes. A special forging striker for radial-forging machines is considered. It allows us to have the leading pipe end with the section like a quatrefoil. Application of such a tool increases strength of forged ends of pipes. A mathematical model describing a working face of the striker was developed and implemented in software Mathsoft MathCAD
