The use of high-temperature fans in convective ovens makes it possible to increase the heat transfer intensity when heating various types of cages. The reliability of such fans depends on the thermal conditions of its main parts. Hard temperature conditions most often occur in the area of the bearing closest to the outer wall of the furnace. Its overheating leads to a decrease in the service life or the failure of the fan. According to the developed methodology, it was determined that reducing the shaft diameter of the furnace fan of type Ts9-55 No.10 from 150 to 50 mm at a gas temperature in the furnace of 600 °C and a shaft speed of 600 rpm reduces the bearing temperature from 130 to 95 °C. It turned out to be effective to increase the length of the open shaft section with a diameter of 100 mm from 100 to 500 mm between the outer wall of the furnace and the first bearing closest to it: the temperature decreased from 120 to 65 °C. The use of tubular shafts can significantly reduce heat flow: heat is distributed over an annular section, the area of which is less than the section of a solid shaft. When the ratio of the diameters of the inner cavity and the shaft is 0.8, the temperature of the bearing decreases 3.3 times from 116 to 35 ° C. The resulting materials can be useful in the development and design of fans for various convective furnaces.
