The purpose of the chapter is to reveal the perception of young people of three generations: their own, the generation of their parents and the generation of their grandparents. Perception is revealed through the concept of “sociocultural portrait”. In the theoretical part of the chapter, the definition of “sociocultural portrait” is given and its elements are defined. A classification of research works related to the study of the sociocultural portrait has been carried out. The results of the empirical study showed that the sociocultural portrait of their grandparents, in the opinion of young people, is most similar to the ideal, model; a more critical assessment is given to the portrait of their parents and the most negative of their generation. A hypothesis is put forward about the possible reasons for the significant difference in the perception of sociocultural portraits of generations among young people.
