The problem of the crisis of trust in the University - between the key educational communities - students, teachers, management community is considered. Trust is considered as the fundamental principle of activity and interaction of educational communities on which their behavioral strategies are based. The analysis of the problem is based on the consideration of historical, sociological and theoretical background of the study of trust as a social phenomenon, as well as on the materials of sociological research conducted in 2019 in Ural universities. The novelty of the author's approach is to connect and compare the three levels of trust in the University - institutional, community and moral. The novelty of the results is manifested in the identification the causes of the crisis of trust in higher education, fixing the divergence of strategies of behavior and interaction developed by the pedagogical and student community in comparison with management. The practical significance of the research results is seen in the consideration of the possibility of overcoming distrust between key educational communities in the University.
